Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. This competition is promoted by HarperCollins Publishers Ltd (“HarperCollins”), Westerhill Road, Bishopsbriggs, Glasgow G64 2QT in partnership with Rubie’s Masquerade Co. (UK) Ltd, Universal House, Pennywell Road, Bristol, BS5 0ER
  2. This promotion is open to all UK residents except employees of HarperCollins (or their parent, subsidiaries or any affiliated companies) and their immediate families, who are not allowed to enter the competition.
  3. You must be over 18 years’ old to enter this competition
  4. To enter please like and retweet Farshore’s post on their Twitter account (@FarshoreBooks) about their World Book Day “Beano” competition: https://twitter.com/FarshoreBooks/status/1497163152835948580. Entrants must complete both actions in order to enter the competition.
  5. The closing date for entries is 28.02.22. No entries received after this date will be accepted. No purchase is necessary in order to enter this competition. Only one entry is allowed per household.
  6. The prize is one (1) “Beano” costume and five (5) copies of “Beano Dennis & Gnasher: Battle for Bash Street School”. There are two (2) prizes available and there will be two (2) separate winners of the competition.
  7. The prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and subject to availability. No guarantee is given as to the quality of the prize.
  8. No cash or prize alternatives are available.
  9. HarperCollins reserve the right in their reasonable discretion to substitute any prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
  10. The winners of the competition will be drawn at random by an electronic system from all entries that have complied with these Terms and Conditions and the winners will be notified by e-mailno later than the 28.02.22
  11. The prize will be delivered to the winner within one (1) month of the closing date.
    1. We will aim to adhere to the deadline for delivery stipulated, however if we are unable to meet that deadline due to any circumstances arising as a direct or indirect result of the Coronavirus pandemic and any other potential unforeseen factors outside of our control, we will ensure relevant timely communication with the winner and in the unlikely event that delivery becomes impossible, we will offer a reasonable substitute product.
  12. Any application containing incorrect, false or unreadable information will be rejected. Any applications made on behalf of or for another person or multiple entries will not be included in the competition.
  13. HarperCollins’ decision as to who has won the competition shall be final.
  14. To obtain the name of the prize winner after the closing date, please write to Farshore Marketing Team, HarperCollins Publishers, The News Building, 1 London Bridge Street, London, SE1 9GF.
  15. The entry instructions are part of the Terms and Conditions for this competition.
  16. By entering the competition you are agreeing to accept these Terms and Conditions. Any breach of these Terms and Conditions by you will mean that your entry will not be valid, and you will not be allowed to enter this competition.
  17. By entering this competition, you are agreeing that if you win your name and image may be used for the purpose of announcing the winner in any related publicity with HarperCollins, without additional payment or permission.

  21. HarperCollins will not be responsible unless required by law, for any loss, changes, costs or expenses, which may arise in connection with this competition and HarperCollins can cancel or alter the competition, including these terms and conditions, at any stage.
  22. Any dispute relating to the competition shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
