Lucy Richards

Lucy is originally from Middlesex, she studied at North Wales School of Art & Design at Glyndwr University, and now lives in Devon with her 4 yr old son and fat tabby cat.

After winning an award from Hallmark for her final university show, it didn’t take long for Lucy to establish herself as a much-loved illustrator within children’s books.

She has illustrated texts with Michael Morpurgo and Julia Donaldson, as well as writing and illustrating her own book ‘The Magic Sky’.

David O’Connell

David O’Connell is a writer and illustrator living in London, UK. His favourite things to draw are monsters, naughty children (another type of monster), batty old ladies and evil cats!

Paul Howard

Paul Howard studied graphic design in Leicester, graduating in 1989 with first class honours. For a time he worked in London’s Natural History Museum. He lives in Ireland. He won the Blue Peter Children’s Book Award 2001.

Helen Stephens

Helen Stephens is the award winning illustrator of How to Hide a Lion, Fleabag and The Night Iceberg (Alison Green Books). Known for her line work and bright and instantly recognisable illustrations, Helen has both collaborated with authors (Sophie Hannah, Roger McGough and Michael Morpurgo) and written and illustrated her own picture books including The Big Adventures of the Smalls and the Betsey series, both with Egmont. Helen lives in Northumberland, by the sea, with her family.
