Electric Monkey Survey 2024 Competition Terms & Conditions
- This competition is promoted by HarperCollins Publishers Ltd (“HarperCollins”), 1 Robroyston Gate, Robroyston, Glasgow, G33 1JN.
- This competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom except employees of HarperCollins (or their parent, subsidiaries or any affiliated companies) and their immediate families.
- You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to enter this competition.
- The prize is one (1) £150 National Book Token gift card; one (1) bound uncorrected proof of The Rose Bargain by Sasha Peyton Smith; one (1) bound uncorrected proof of Lila MacKay is Very Misunderstood by Gill Sims; one (1) bound uncorrected proof of Captain of Fates by Katherine Webber; one (1) bound uncorrected proof of Immortal Consequences by IV Marie; one (1) bound uncorrected proof of While We’re Young by KL Walther; one (1) bound uncorrected proof of Lady’s Knight by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner (the “Prize”). There is one (1) Prize to be won and there will be one (1) winner of this competition. If your National Book Tokens gift card (or e-Gift card) is not used for a period of 96 consecutive months, it will expire and you will not be able to use the value on it. The Prize is also subject to the terms and conditions set out by the National Book Tokens.
- To enter the competition please complete all compulsory questions on the Electric Monkey Survey Google Form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe4a1FmxmtYSdu7RuDUG7The6Qoy3t89vnMFf5ongIi6qbV7A/viewform?usp=sf_link) (the Survey), opt in to the competition using the tick box and enter your email address at the end of the form. If you complete the Survey but do no tick the tick box and submit your email address, you will not be entered into the competition.
- The competition opens at 9am GMT on 15th November 2024 and closes at 5pm GMT on 20th December 2024. Entries received outside these dates and times will not be accepted.
- Only one (1) entry is allowed per person.
- If you win, no purchase is required to redeem the Prize.
- The Prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and subject to availability. No guarantee is given as to the quality of the Prize.
- No cash or other alternatives to the Prize are available, and HarperCollins reserve the right in their reasonable discretion to substitute any Prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
- The winner of the competition will be selected at random by an employee based on entries received that have complied with these Terms and Conditions, and will be notified by e-mail no later than the 10th January 2025.
- HarperCollins is not responsible for contacting or forwarding the Prize to entrants who provide unclear or incomplete information or for entries lost, misdirected, delayed, or destroyed. If the winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable timeframe, HarperCollins reserves the right to select another winner.
- The winner will have the option of redeeming the Prize either by physical gift card or e-gift card. The winner will be issued with instructions of how to redeem the Prize. HarperCollins will use reasonable endeavors to deliver the Prize within one (1) month of the winner being notified that they have won the competition. However, HarperCollins is not liable for any delay in the delivery of the Prize.
- HarperCollins will aim to meet the delivery date set out above, however if HarperCollins cannot meet that deadline due to any circumstances arising outside of their control, HarperCollins will contact the winner to arrange redelivery and, in the unlikely event that delivery becomes impossible, HarperCollins will offer a reasonable substitute of the Prize which is of equal or greater value.
- HarperCollins’ decision as to who has won the competition shall be final.
- To obtain the name of the winner after the closing date, please write to Publicity Department, Farshore, HarperCollins Publishers, The News Building, 1 London Bridge Street, London, SE1 9GF.
- By entering the competition, you are agreeing that, if you win, your name and image may be used for the purpose of announcing the winner and in any related publicity with HarperCollins without any additional payment or permission.
- All entrants are expected to act fairly and in the good spirit of the competition. HarperCollins reserves the right to investigate any irregularities and disqualify entrants at its absolute discretion.
- The entry instructions are part of the Terms and Conditions for this competition. By entering this competition, you are agreeing to accept these Terms and Conditions. Any breach of these Terms and Conditions by you will mean that your entry will not be valid, and you will not be allowed to enter this competition.
- Any personal information you give to HarperCollins will be used solely for this competition and will not be passed on to any other parties without your express consent. HarperCollins’ privacy policy can be found at: https://corporate.harpercollins.co.uk/reporting/privacy-policy/. Your answers to the Survey itself will be kept anonymous.
- Under no circumstances will HarperCollins be responsible for any loss, damages, costs, or expenses arising from or in any way connected with any errors, defects, interruptions, malfunctions, or delays in the promotion of the competition or Prize.
- Any dispute relating to the competition shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
