Gold Stink Ticket Competition Terms & Conditions

  1. This competition is promoted by HarperCollins Publishers Ltd (“HarperCollins”), The News Building, 1 London Bridge Street, London, SE1 9GF.
  2. This competition is open to all UK residents except employees of HarperCollins (or their parent, subsidiaries or any affiliated companies) and their immediate families, who are not allowed to enter the competition.
  3. You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to enter this competition.
  4. In order to be a winner of this competition you must have bought a copy of Stink by Jenny McLachlan which contains a ‘Gold Stink’ ticket (the “Winning Ticket”). You must then email farshoremarketing@harpercollins.co.uk quoting the number on your Winning Ticket to redeem a Prize (defined below).
  5. The competition opens at 01:00AM on Thursday 16th March 2023 and closes at 23:59 GMT on Sunday 30th April 2023. No entries received after the closing date will be accepted.
  6. Only one (1) entry to the competition is allowed per household.
  7. No additional purchase necessary in order to enter this competition.
  8. The prize is one (1) “Irresistible Ice Cream amusable” toy by Jellycat London worth fourteen pounds (£14) (the “Prize”). There are eighteen (18) Prizes to be won.
  9. The prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and subject to availability. No guarantee is given as to the quality of the Prize.
  10. No cash or other alternatives the Prizes are available, and HarperCollins reserves the right in their reasonable discretion to substitute any Prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
  11. The winners of the competition will be confirmed pending verification of a valid Winning Ticket number by the Farshore Marketing Team and notified by e-mail no later than the Friday 12th May 2023.
  12. Each Prize will be delivered to the winners within a month of the competition’s closing date. However, HarperCollins is not liable for any delay in the delivery of the Prize.
  13. HarperCollins will aim to adhere to the deadline for delivery stipulated above, however if HarperCollins are unable to meet that deadline due to any circumstances arising as a direct or indirect result of a pandemic, epidemic or any other potential unforeseen factors outside of their control, HarperCollins will ensure relevant timely communication with the winner and, in the unlikely event that delivery becomes impossible, HarperCollins will offer a reasonable substitute of the Prize which is of equal or greater value.
  14. HarperCollins is not responsible for contacting or forwarding the Prize to entrants who provide unclear or incomplete information or for entries lost, misdirected, delayed, or destroyed. If the winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable timeframe, HarperCollins reserves the right to select another winner.
  15. HarperCollins’ decision as to who has won the competition shall be final.
  16. To obtain the name of the winner after the closing date, please write to FAO: Gold Stink Competition, Farshore Marketing Team, HarperCollins Publishers, The News Building, 1 London Bridge Street, London, SE1 9GF.
  17. By entering the competition, you are agreeing that, if you win, your name and image may be used for the purpose of announcing the winner and in any related publicity with HarperCollins without any additional payment or permission.
  18. The entry instructions are part of the Terms and Conditions for this competition. By entering this competition, you are agreeing to accept these Terms and Conditions. Any breach of these Terms and Conditions by you will mean that your entry will not be valid, and you will not be allowed to enter this competition.

  20. Under no circumstances will HarperCollins be responsible for any loss, damages, costs, or expenses arising from or in any way connected with any errors, defects, interruptions, malfunctions or delays in the promotion of the competition or Prize.
  21. Any dispute relating to the competition shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
  22. By entering this competition, you agree to the complete release of Instagram and Facebook in relation to this competition and promotion.
