Terms and Conditions

  1. This competition is promoted by HarperCollins Publishers Ltd (“HarperCollins”), Westerhill Road, Bishopbriggs, Glasgow G64 2QT.
  2. This competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom except employees of HarperCollins (or their parent, subsidiaries or any affiliated companies) and their immediate families.
  3. You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to enter this competition.
  4. The prize is one (1) proof copy of The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson (the “Prize”). There are three (3) Prizes to be won and there will be three (3) winners of this competition.
  5. To enter, (1) follow @electricmonkeybooks on Instagram and (2) tag another Instagram user in the comments of The Reappearance of Rachel Price competition post [https://www.instagram.com/electricmonkeybooks/] on Instagram by @electricmonkeybooks. Only those who follow @electricmonkeybooks will be eligible to win.
  6. The competition opens at 4:00pm on Friday 9th February 2024 and closes at 4:00pm on Tuesday 13th February 2024. Entries received outside these dates and times will not be accepted.
  7. Only one entry is allowed per person.
  8. If you win, no purchase/additional purchase is required to redeem the Prize.
  9. The Prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and subject to availability. No guarantee is given as to the quality of the Prize.
  10. No cash or other alternatives to the Prize/s are available, and HarperCollins reserve the right in their reasonable discretion to substitute any Prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
  11. The winner/s of the competition will be selected at random by an electronic system based on entries received that have complied with these Terms and Conditions, and will be notified by Instagram direct message (DM) no later than Wednesday 21st February 2024.
  12. HarperCollins is not responsible for contacting or forwarding the Prize to entrants who provide unclear or incomplete information or for entries lost, misdirected, delayed, or destroyed. If the winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable timeframe, HarperCollins reserves the right to select another winner.
  13. HarperCollins will use reasonable endeavors to deliver the Prize within one (1) month of the winner being notified that they have won the competition. However, HarperCollins is not liable for any delay in the delivery of the Prize.  
  14. HarperCollins will aim to meet the delivery date set out above, however if HarperCollins cannot meet that deadline due to any circumstances arising outside of their control, HarperCollins will contact the winner to arrange redelivery and, in the unlikely event that delivery becomes impossible, HarperCollins will offer a reasonable substitute of the Prize which is of equal or greater value.
  15. HarperCollins’ decision as to who has won the competition shall be final.
  16. To obtain the name of the winner after the closing date, please write to the Farshore MPR team at HarperCollins Publishers, The News Building, 1 London Bridge Street, London, SE1 9GF or email farshoremarketing@harpercollins.co.uk.
  17. By entering the competition, you are agreeing that, if you win, your name and image may be used for the purpose of announcing the winner and in any related publicity with HarperCollins without any additional payment or permission.
  18. All entrants are expected to act fairly and in the good spirit of the competition. HarperCollins reserves the right to investigate any irregularities and disqualify entrants at its absolute discretion.
  19. The entry instructions are part of the Terms and Conditions for this competition. By entering this competition, you are agreeing to accept these Terms and Conditions. Any breach of these Terms and Conditions by you will mean that your entry will not be valid, and you will not be allowed to enter this competition.

  21. Under no circumstances will HarperCollins be responsible for any loss, damages, costs, or expenses arising from or in any way connected with any errors, defects, interruptions, malfunctions, or delays in the promotion of the competition or Prize.
  22. Any dispute relating to the competition shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
