Alice is a freelance illustrator, author and designer based in London. She uses bold shapes and layers of texture to create her illustrations. As well as writing and illustrating her own books Alice is the designer at House of Illustration, the world’s first home to the art of illustration in all its forms. She has worked with Lonely Planet, National Trust, Random House, Pavilion Books, Walker Books and The Guardian. Alice is one of the first illustrators in the UK ever chosen for the Sendak Fellowship and in autumn 2012 went to live and work at Maurice Sendak’s residence in Connecticut.
